There comes a time for each of us when we have to decide what we really want
for ourselves, not what others want from us.
I have lived most (almost all) of my life trying to please someone else in
order to feel loved and accepted. Finally,
I am beginning to understand that the only way I will be happy is to please
myself.
I think Alfalfa from Our Gang/Little Rascals said it best - “I’m sorry Spanky,
I have to live my own life”.
